Cirba CEO Inducted Into University Of Toronto’s Hall Of Distinction

Toronto, Ontario – October 16, 2014 – Cirba Inc., the leading provider of software-defined infrastructure control solutions, today announced that its President and Chief Executive Officer, Gerry Smith, has been inducted into the University of Toronto’s 2014 Engineering Alumni Hall of Distinction. Selected by the Engineering Alumni Association and the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, the Hall of Distinction is an assembly of extraordinary alumni, chosen for membership by their peers for their lifelong accomplishments.

Accompanying Gerry Smith in the 2014 round of inductees are only three fellow graduates, highlighting the exclusivity of the University’s Hall of Distinction selection process. According to the University, Hall of Distinction honorees are graduates whose performances have ultimately defined what is most exemplary in the engineering profession. The careers of the members stand as examples and add a sense of reality to the aspirations of successive generations of engineering students.

“I am honored to be recognized among my fellow engineers as a Hall of Distinction inductee,” said Gerry Smith, president and CEO at Cirba. “I take great pride in the education I received at the University of Toronto and it has served as an excellent foundation upon which I have built my career.”

This year’s honorees will be featured at the Engineering Alumni Association Awards Ceremony and Hall of Distinction Unveiling on Wednesday, Nov. 5.
