CiRBA Achieves Record 1st Quarter with 71% Growth
Broad Recognition of the Need for Data Center Analytics that Determine Workload Placements and Maximize Efficiency Fuels Growth
Toronto, Ontario – February 8, 2010 – CiRBA Inc., a leader in Data Center Intelligence (DCI) software, today announced its software license bookings for the first fiscal quarter of 2010 ending January 31, increased 71 percent over the same quarter last year and represents the highest ever quarterly bookings for the company. This is the second consecutive quarter the company has achieved record software bookings.
The last two quarters have also included several software transactions of greater than $1M each as leading global organizations have adopted CiRBA to manage the efficiency of physical and virtual infrastructure. Organizations are increasingly recognizing the need to apply intelligent analytics to the management of workload placements and allocations in order to realize the full benefits of virtualization and mitigate risk.
CiRBA’s success has also been fueled by global partners such as IBM GTS and Unisys that have standardized on the use of CIRBA within their virtualization and transformation services practices. NEC Corporation of America joined these organizations as a CiRBA partner in January. CiRBA has trained over 450 IT consultants in over 35 countries worldwide.
“The increased demand for DCI, despite the pullback of many IT budgets, is a testament to CiRBA’s ability to eliminate the uncertainty and risk associated with virtualization,” said Gerry Smith, president and CEO, CiRBA, Inc. “In the past year, organizations have matured from asking the question “should we virtualize and how do we transform?” to “how do we ensure our environment is efficient over the long term?” It is simply not possible to answer this question without analytics that contemplate optimal workload placements. CiRBA stands alone in its ability to provide actionable answers as to how to maximize the efficiency of infrastructure while balancing risk. We look forward to continuing our strong growth by leveraging our unique position in the marketplace.”
