Press Releases
Three more Global 3000 companies choose CiRBA's CAT software for unprecedented visibility into their enterprise IT environments
With the addition of large industry players in wireless and oil & gas, CiRBA continues to solidify its leadership position in configuration auditing space
Toronto, Canada - February 7, 2005 - CiRBA, Inc., a leading provider of Advanced Configuration Auditing Technologies for the Enterprise, today announced the signing of three large Global 3000 customers for its configuration auditing technology, CAT. Two more of North America's largest wireless providers, and one of the world's largest oil and gas companies have purchased CiRBA software to track and report on their configurations of hardware platforms, applications, operating environments and services across their enterprise IT environments.
"These customers have chosen CiRBA because we meet their needs for an industrial strength, enterprise solution," said CiRBA CEO Riyaz Somani. "With CAT, they now have a tool that can span their enterprise to gather and track all of their configuration and usage data, and provide tangible and meaningful information about not only what is on their systems and how they are configured, but more importantly, about how they are being used and changed."
Somani believes that the growing interest in the company's configuration auditing software is driven in large part by organizations' increased need to address the gap between their mandate to define and develop improved IT Service Management processes, and the ability of the data center to deliver on that mandate.
"We're finding much greater focus in the large enterprise IT environment on the definition, development and implementation of new processes that promise to gain control of the data center - from configuration, change and asset management, to compliance and security enforcement," said Somani. "But when the IT and business leads are faced with the task of implementing these processes, they find that they don't have any way to consistently, reliably and accurately collect all the data required across the enterprise - from front end to back end, on all platforms and technologies, and across environments. Without this capability, implementation of these processes is fragmented, labour intensive, and potentially very costly."
With CAT, CiRBA's customers are seeing a significant return on their investment. From a hard dollar standpoint, software tools that automate processes and provide useful and intelligently delivered information, rather than mountains of data, help IT staff be more productive, efficient, and smart about how they do their jobs..
